The boat

What it is

The 14S is the skiff you stop thinking about — it just goes. Hand-laid fiberglass with no wood anywhere in it, foam-filled so it floats even swamped, drawing three to six inches with a 30 on the transom. Sixty inches of beam makes a stable casting platform for two, tough enough for oyster bars and boat ramps, small enough to tow behind anything. Built in Wildwood, Florida, and warrantied on the hull for ten years.
